Horde edge Alliance 157 to 134 in the Darrow Hill Alliance Ground Won
Ron Burgundoom, reporting from the front
Ron Burgundoom, reporting on a Wednesday afternoon with a dog asleep on my script and a cravat tied in a knot I cannot undo. The Horde took a narrow victory in Hillsbrad Foothills on Wednesday, October 14, in the Darrow Hill Alliance Ground Won. Kills ran 157 to 134 over 128 minutes, from 3:53 PM EDT to 6:01 PM EDT. That is 291 deaths in all. Neither side held the line.
The Horde pushed from Tarren Mill and by 4:38 PM EDT stood 73% of the way to Southshore. The Alliance drove them back, and at 5:28 PM EDT the line sat at 53% toward Tarren Mill. The Horde then killed more in the last 15 minutes, 5 to 2. That was the margin. It was small and it was enough.
The Alliance had the best killers on the field. Alyria Mangetonpere of <SQUAWK> led all players with 14 kills, and reached 8 kills without dying. Fetid Orifice and Yîn Yâng of <Yeni Guild> took 12 each. Helmut Chukklehead reached 5 kills without dying, and the Alliance lost anyway. I have read that sentence to the dog.
