Help test Wanted
Wanted is under heavy development through the WoW Forever beta, and it needs players on both factions to test it. The more of you run it, the more kills get named and confirmed, and the better every board on this site gets.
What it does
- Bounties. Put gold on a ganker's head, or on a whole guild's. Hunters claim the kill, other players' addons witness it, and the poster pays by mail. Paid and unpaid bounties go on everyone's record.
- Enemy awareness. A small Nearby window with who's around and who's targeting you, stealth alarms, Kill on Sight lists, and a quick call for help to Local Defense, your party or your guild.
- Your nemesis. Who has killed you most, who you've killed most, and who you've fought most.
- Leaderboards and battle reports. Kills, deaths, streaks, guilds and zones, and a report for every big fight. With the desktop app running, reports fill in during the fight instead of after a /reload.
Everything is shared player to player over an in-game channel. A kill counts on the boards once another player's records back it up, so nobody can pad their numbers from one computer. How the boards work
How to help
- Install the addon from CurseForge and play world PvP with it on, either faction.
- On Windows, set up the desktop app. It installs in a few seconds, needs no administrator, and updates itself. It's what puts your kills on the leaderboards.
- Post a bounty and hunt one, and see whether the claim and the payment work for you.
- Tell us what breaks. Press Report a bug in the addon's title bar (or type
/wanted bug): it gathers what we need. Then open a report.
Good to know
- Expect frequent updates, and some rough edges while the game itself keeps changing.
- The app is Windows only for now. The addon works on its own without it.
- It's free and open source.
