Safety
Wanted: Dead or... Dead takes online bullying seriously. No one should feel unsafe because of this addon.
Wanted is meant to be fun: a world PvP game of bounties and hunts between players who chose to play it. Misuse, griefing or bullying gets you banned from the system, the addon's network and this site alike.
What the addon shares, and what it never does
- The addon shares what happens in world PvP: kills, deaths, bounties and sightings, with the players of your own faction who run it.
- Between the factions, through the Wanted Battle.net group, the addons trade only how many Wanted players are in a zone, by layer, and bounty warnings (the target's name and the price). Where anyone is never crosses: no names with positions, no tracking. The other side sees you only when they see you in the game.
- Layers are picked automatically, always the zone's most active Wanted PvP layer. Nobody can choose a layer to follow someone to.
If someone is making you feel unsafe
- Hide your character: it gets no page and shows as "Hidden player" everywhere on this site.
- Write to [email protected] with the character names and what happened. Every report is read by a person, and the account behind the behaviour can be banned.
- Blizzard's own in-game report reaches the game's moderators; Wanted's ban is on top of it, not instead of it.
Help with online bullying
If online bullying is affecting you, these organisations help, whoever is doing it and wherever it's happening:
- The Cybersmile Foundation: advice and support for anyone affected by online bullying, worldwide.
- StopBullying.gov: what cyberbullying is and what to do, from the US government.
Wanted: Dead or... Dead is a fan project, not a crisis service. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services.
