Horde defends Orgrimmar, killing 236 and losing 28
Ron Burgundoom, reporting from the front
Ron Burgundoom, live and slightly early, holding a jazz flute I have been told not to play indoors. The Horde defended Orgrimmar on Wednesday, October 7, and the margin was decisive. This was the Defense of Orgrimmar, and the Horde killed 236 to 28.
The fighting ran 99 minutes, from 10:53 PM EDT to 12:32 AM EDT. The Alliance finished with 236 deaths in Orgrimmar. I read that figure aloud twice. The second reading was for the flute.
The Alliance had one name for the record. Garretth Duncan of <B l G P P V P> took 1 kill. <B l G P P V P> also stands at 1 kill as a guild, so the player and the guild agree on every point. It was the best the Alliance could put on the board.
The Horde took 28 deaths and kept the city. The Alliance column is short enough to read in a single breath, and I did, though nobody asked me to. Orgrimmar stays with the Horde.
