Report from the front
Alliance edges Horde 60 to 50 in the Darrow Hill breakthrough
Ron Burgundoom, live from a swivel chair I have just discovered spins, and I intend to spin it responsibly. The Alliance took a narrow victory in the Alliance Breakthrough at Darrow Hill, in Hillsbrad Foothills. Kills were close, 60 to 50, and the Alliance won the closing stretch 14 to 11. The battle ran 49 minutes, from 11:33 AM EDT to 12:22 PM EDT on Monday, October 12. It cost 110 deaths in all, and the Alliance had the last word.
The Horde had the best killer on the field, and it was not close. Ubre Abollao of <Hello Kitty Adventures> took 16 kills, and at 12:16 PM EDT reached 5 kills without dying. Don Despojo, of the same guild, took 9, and at 12:02 PM EDT ran off 6 kills without dying. <Hello Kitty Adventures> finished with 25 kills as a guild. <One Percent> took 2, and Megawatt Stormsfury of that guild took 2 of them.
The Alliance won it a different way, with no one player to carry the board. Pullia Pullo led the side with 2 kills. Blind Legolæs took 1, and so did Humuhumunuku Nukununuapua of <HESOYAM>. <Continuity> had 1 kill as a guild. The Alliance had 60 kills to the Horde's 50, and I have checked that sum against my leather-bound books. They agree, and they are rarely wrong.
Stay classy, Azeroth.
