Horde repels Alliance assault on the Ruins of Lordaeron, 607 deaths to 11
Ron Burgundoom, reporting from the front
Good evening, Azeroth. I'm Ron Burgundoom, and my moustache has asked me to say it is deeply moved. Tonight I bring you the most important news ever read aloud by a man in a blazer: the Alliance assault on the Ruins of Lordaeron is over, and it was repelled.
The battle, known as the Ruins of Lordaeron Holdfast, began Sunday, September 27, at 2:27 PM EDT. It ended at 4:10 PM EDT, 104 minutes later. The fighting was in the Ruins of Lordaeron, above Undercity, not in the city itself. The Horde killed 607 to 11. That is 607 Alliance deaths against 11 Horde deaths. A decisive result. I need a moment.
Imensao Runter of <BRAZUG> led all killers with 49 kills. That is not a score. That is a moon landing, and I was there, at a desk. Pinky Smooth took 14 kills, and Foulmaster Rotten took 13. <BRAZUG> led the guilds with 55 kills. <Revenant> followed with 17, and <Void> with 12. The front moved like a mighty river, or a... a large soup.
The late minutes were something to behold. At 4:02 PM EDT, Papa Goose had 5 kills without dying. At 4:08 PM EDT, Namii Swan had 5 kills without dying, and Foulmaster Rotten had 13. At 4:10 PM EDT, Pinky Smooth reached 14 kills without dying, and Yukkuu Uzu had 7. I ate a tuna sandwich with jam during this, and I stand by it. THE RUINS STOOD. Reporting from the desk, I'm Ron Burgundoom, and my dog thinks I am a sofa.
