Good evening, Azeroth. I'm Ron Burgundoom, and my moustache has asked me to read this one sitting down. It was a night of great importance. It began Tuesday, September 29, at 11:29 PM EDT. It ended at 1:18 AM EDT, 110 minutes later. Historians will call it the Brawl at Ratchet, and I am already one of them.
The Horde came out of Crossroads and did not stop. By 11:59 PM EDT the front sat 93% of the way to Ratchet. It wobbled. It dipped to 88% at 12:34 AM EDT, and I felt it in my cologne, Eau de Gankmoor. Then it climbed back to 91%, then to 93% at 12:59 AM EDT. The fighting stayed at Ratchet's doorstep for 1 h. The front moved like a mighty hammer, or a... a large ham. I had ham for lunch. Moving on.
The numbers are staggering. There were 125 deaths in all: 35 Horde deaths and 90 Alliance deaths. The guild <Revenant> took 32 kills. Laethita Laethski and Wulfs Banes each claimed 8 kills, and Ra Rcher added 4. Satrian Unleashed led all players with 2876 damage, and Fus Rodah followed with 2365. For the Alliance, Briggzboi Swag dealt 1800 damage. That is a fine number. I wept. I do not know why.
But healers win battles too. Jelly Wine topped the Horde with 881 healing. Darq Matter topped the Alliance with 878 healing. Three points apart. I... I need a moment. THE HORDE HELD. A decisive Horde victory at the Barrens, because the front ended 93% of the way to Ratchet. My dog has been told. He did not react, which I believe was respect.
